Rock Covered Bridge

         Rock Covered Bridge           

Rock Bridge is located on the Twp. Route 452 (Lovers Road) north of state Rt. 895 and 0.7 miles east of Rock, Pa., Washington Twp., and spans Little Swatara creek.  This bridge is in very good condition and is open to traffic.  The bridge has been reinforced with steel guardrails t0 protect the trussing from vehicle damage. The bridge was built in 1870  using the Burr design. The length of the bridge is 39 ft. and the width is 13".5". The builder is unknown....

                 

   Zimmerman's Covered Bridge

Zimmerman Covered bridge is tucked away on a small mountain road (twp 661) south of state route 895 approx. 1 mile of Rock, Pa., in Washington twp. The bridge is well maintained and is open to traffic. The bridge was built in 1880 using the Burr truss design.  The length of the bridge is 50'.6" with a width of 11'. It spans the little Swatara creek.  The builder is unknown.
